So Beltran has not officially left the mets yet but all sources say he is which means he will most likely be in philly with the giants tomorrow. He has a 24 hour peroid to sign off the traded but all signs say that he will agree. Now i know i aint old enough to remember the signing of beltran but i do remember his Big at bat in the 2006 NLCS against the cardinals which at the time i thought he sucked and should be released, again i was like 10. but take that one AB off the record you got a player that was really a big offensive force at the plate. i know i will miss him and i wish him the best of luck out in San Fransico. i will be rooting for them to repeat if the mets cant hold on for a run this season.
Now on to the good news from the trade is RHP Zack Wheeler currently in Single-A. He is projected to probably come up in the 2013 season so thats is probably along with Harvey who right now is in Double-A and as people on twitter were showing the possible future rotation of the mets in 2013 Santana, Harvey, Wheeler, Neise, Gee this looks pretty insane but then again you just never know whats gonna happen. ill post up a video of a condensed game of one of Wheeler's Starts.
-Peace
**UPDATE**
I know its kind of late but beltran has agreed to go to San Fransico. he arrived in time for todays game going 0-4. The Mets on the other side won today sweeping the Reds in a 4 game series for the first time ever in Cincinnati in heir 49 year history. Plus the braves lose so they are now 6.5gb for the wild card. :) Let's go Mets!!!
